RESPONSIBILITIES

PRINCIPAL RESPONSIBILITIES:

 

The Senior Accounting Manager is responsible for managing the entire accounting function of Beeline
North America, including cash management, payroll accounting, accounts payable, accounts receivable
and monthly, quarterly and annual close processes, consolidation and reporting. This position will also be
responsible for ensuring compliance with US GAAP, company policies and guidelines, as well as internal
controls. The Senior Accounting Manager will be the point person for audits and tax engagements. A
successful candidate will educate the team on how to handle more complex accounting issues and
workflows and will be a point of escalation for the team. This role will also provide support to the Vice
President of Finance and other operational leaders as necessary.

 

MAJOR DUTIES

  • Responsible for the U.S. GAAP general ledgers, consolidation and reporting for Beeline entities
  • Perform all aspects of month/quarter/year-end closes and Beeline subconsolidation, prepare monthly reporting packages and quarterly reporting schedules for Capcom Japan
  • Prepare monthly consolidated trial balance, quarterly consolidated financial statements, monthly
  • account reconciliations and other financial schedules as needed
  • Manage and supervise/perform all aspects of accounts payable, accounts receivable, fixed assets, banking transactions, cash accounting and payroll-related accounting
  • Calculate monthly/quarterly royalty payments, prepare royalty statements and coordinate timely reporting and payments to third parties for royalties and minimum guarantees
  • Perform all aspects of monthly product development accounting, allocation to title, capitalization and amortization and maintain related schedules
  • Record intercompany transactions, confirm balances and coordinate information with intercompany counterparts, prepare and process quarterly cash settlements
  • Serve as point person for Beeline external auditors, JSOX auditors and tax information requests
  • Prepare ad hoc IRS and Canada Revenue Agency filings, business and property tax filings and governmental data surveys and ensure timely submissions with local and federal agencies
  • Establish documentation of internal accounting procedures and workflow for JSOX internal controls
  • Maintain chart of accounts, vendor and customer data in SAP
  • Perform ad hoc projects as needed

REQUIREMENTS

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

 

  • Bachelor's degree in Business Administration with an emphasis in Accounting
  • 7-10 years experience in corporate accounting is required
  • Translation, consolidation and eliminations experience is also required
  • Exposure to operational accounting/systems, i.e. accounts payable/receivable and inventory a plus
  • CPA or prior Big 4 public accounting experience a plus
  • U.S. and foreign tax experience/knowledge is highly desirable
  • Solid technical understanding of U.S. GAAP and the ability to research and apply accounting treatment for non-standard transactions.
  • Knowledge of Sarbanes-Oxley, internal controls, accounting best practices and various accounting
  • processes and topics to include revenue recognition, deferred costs, and other complex accounting concepts
  • Strong accounting systems and business application skills including SAP, Hyperion Essbase and Excel
  • Experience in multi-national companies and entertainment or gaming a plus
  • Strong project management skills with a focus on organization, attention to detail and ability to multitask
  • under tight time constraints, while providing timely, effective and accurate deliverables
  • Ability to navigate through various levels of detail, demonstrating flexibility to dive into details as well as think big picture
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills and “can do” attitude with ability to influence across the organization
